Asem Ghabra and Baraat Khudeir opened the first Shawerma Plus quick service restaurant in 2012. One year later, they were joined by Jawad Ghabra, who in 2016 helped the group launch their second restaurant in the heart of Waterloo (Uni. Ave. W.). With a 1000 sq. ft. kitchen, this location helped Shawerma Plus scale to regional leader status through catering, large orders and late night delivery services.

Today, this tri-city favorite has become an award-winning icon amongst shawerma lovers and foodies.

We are now ready to bring the Shawerma Plus brand several other cities in Ontario (and beyond) over the next few years.
